Live, learn and explore the Ktunaxa Nation Culture at St. Eugene Golf Resort Casino, within our traditional territory in the heart of the East Kootenay Region. Located just five minutes away from the Canadian Rockies International Airport, our Resort offers 125 rooms and suites, a full service spa and pool, the Casino of the Rockies, a championship golf course, three restaurants, and a riverside RV Park.

A former residential school now proudly owned by the Ktunaxa Nation, we honour our connection to the land, from the whispering sounds of the St. Mary River as you walk our par 72 course, to the dramatic alpine glow over Fisher Peak. Beyond the beauty, we are proud to offer local indigenous-inspired fare at our main dining & lounge, Numa, meaning ‘thunder’ in Ktunaxa, the 19th Hole, and Kiʔsuʔk k̓ikiⱡ, meaning ‘good food’, located inside the newly re-designed Casino of the Rockies.

Immerse in Ktunaxa Culture with our Speaking Earth Haqaⱡpaⱡniʔnam (Hackalth-palth-knee-nam) program. Sign up for an activity or take a deeper dive and join Ktunaxa Nation members for a two-day immersive experience of traditional knowledge and Culture. Take part in a beading workshop; play traditional games; listen as a storyteller shares Ktunaxa legends around a crackling campfire. Enjoy bison stew with bannock and end your meal with a sweet berry pie. As the evening sun sets and turns your teepee home for the night a glowing pink, dream of sleeping soundly under the stars.

Revitalizing Indigenous culture, one meal at a time

In our traditional cultures, food is harvested, cooked, and eaten with respect. Gathering around a table is an act of community — it is about feeding the mind, body, and spirit at the same time, with food that is thoughtfully harvested and prepared.
