ShaMaSha, the spirit lives on!
Connect to Mother Nature through hiking, boating, yoga, meditation and more in Newfoundland on a five-day immersive experience. Give yourself the gift of reflection, reconnection and relaxation in a beautiful rural environment guided by owner Daphne March, a strong Mi’kmaq woman, who draws on her heritage to share stories, wisdom and her Culture. Discover something new; learn Mi’kmaq culture and teachings; feel spiritually nourished in our sanctuary from modern life.
Gather around a fire on the beach to watch the flames, hear the wood crackle and smell the wood smoke; listen to healing stories and learn to cook over an open flame; take time to nourish your mind, body and spirit in a drug and alcohol-free environment, amongst like-minded people who enjoy life and all its blessings.
“After hikes, we’ll do a foot bath of mint, sage, thyme, basil, lavender and lemon balm,” March says. “Studies show one of the world’s biggest problems is loneliness. We want to heal that.” The name ‘Sha Ma Sha’ honors her father, who lived off the land. “‘Sha ma sha’ was a household word when I was growing up — I never knew the precise meaning… just that it conveyed comfort and the spirit of human connection. Now I’m giving the phrase new life.”
